Hi I'm Amanda Morse

I'm Mormon!

About Me

I'm a wife and mother. My favorite name I hold is Mommy! I have many hobbies that I enjoy. The three I enjoy most are Photography, crafting and journaling. Above all, I love studying the gospel! I strive to include it into my day, everyday. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me a hope and strength that only Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ can offer. I LOVE being with my family that Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I love spending quality time with them. I am thankful for our eternal life we share together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Mormon church because it makes me happy. It gives me a great hope. It gives me a greater understanding of why Heavenly Father sent me here to Earth. What my purpose is here as a daughter of God. It gives me a greater understanding of the purpose of families and of life after this. It has taught me way more than I could have imagined about the importance of patience, sacrifice and service. It has helped me understand and act upon the teachings of modesty in my actions and dress. What a blessing to be a member of a church that is set up the same way Jesus Christ set up his church when he came to Earth. I love that no matter where I am, it doesn't matter what Latter-Day Saint church I attend on Sunday, I will be taught the same thing at that certain location I attend that other people are being taught all over the world. That's another beauty of this church. It's a worldwide church. Its set up in a way that the whole world is included. I Love Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ. My testimony of this Church is built upon THREE things. #1- A modern day Prophet that leads and guides us. I know that Thomas S Monson is a prophet of God. I know that through him the church receives counsel and guidance. In bible times, the Lord always had prophets and apostles. Why would it be any different today? #2- The good feelings I get when I am at church, when I read my scriptures or any other church manuals, listen to conference talks, attend meetings with the missionaries or serve in any way. #3- The feelings that I DON'T get. I think numbers 2&3 are equally important because the feelings I don't get are when I fail to do those things listed in #2. #3 ALWAYS reminds me of why #2 is so very important! I know the importance of doing what Heavenly Father has commanded. I have seen great blessings come through doing those things He has asked us to do and not to do. I am thankful to have all of this in my life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continuously remembering God's love for me as well as his faith and trust he has in me. I live my faith by following the commandments as Heavenly Father has asked of us. I fall short on a daily basis, but that's the beauty of the gospel. You get back up, dust yourself off, truly repent and try again. I also live my faith by doing daily gospel study. This is a time when I strive to be alone. That way, I can really take in and concentrate on what I am studying. This has became my favorite part of each day. It's during these times when I can really feel the love that God and Jesus Christ have for me. Most importantly, I think by living your faith, you should strive to act upon all the teachings you are being taught from the gospel you love. I think sometimes that is hardest part, staying continuously engaged (converted) through this messy thing called life. However, it's worth it. The things that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teach are worth it.
