Hi I'm Amy

I'm a student. I'm the wife of a very handsome soldier. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student getting my degree online for Exercise and Wellness. I am a proud wife of a US Army soldier. I love to travel. I love the outdoors. I love meeting new people and trying new things. One day I hope to be the mother of my own little army brats as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God loves me, His daughter. I know that because of that love, He has called prophets of old to testify of Him and that even in this day and age, He still calls prophets to be His mouthpiece so that He may continue to lead and guide all His children. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he did translate the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I know the Book of Mormon is true. It testifies of the love our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, have for each of us. I know that my Savior suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane for each of our sins and thus, He knows what burdens I personally have to bear. If it were not for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, my life would have fallen apart years ago and I never would have become who I am today. I love this church!

How I live my faith

I actively participate in church meetings and functions and I constantly try to extend a helping hand to those who may need it. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us about Christ's ministry on this earth and emphasizes that we all need to be more like Him. I strive each day to refrain from judgements on others and instead focus on being a friend to all. I know I am not perfect, but I try every day through my thoughts, words and actions to reflect the love Christ has for each of us.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, we do not worship Joseph Smith. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons), we worship God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. However, we do acknowledge that our Heavenly Father loves us and wishes to give us revelations and further counsel through those whom He calls as prophets. Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God to help restore the true church to the earth and we reverence him as such. Show more Show less
