Hi I'm Junji

I play soccer, I enjoy reading good books, I enjoy spending time with my children.

About Me

I was born and raised in Japan. I moved to the U.S. when I was fifteen years old. I’ve lived in Hawaii, Virginia, Utah and Indiana. I am a husband and a father. I develop software. I enjoy playing soccer, fishing, reading good books, and seeing smiles of the kids.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the Church and taught me about church and its teachings in my childhood years. When I was a young boy, I did not really know why the gospel was important and how it could influence my life for good, so the gospel was not in my priorities, and eventually I stopped going to church during my teenage years. When I stopped going to church and started to do the things that my parents taught me not to do, I thought I was just living my life. After years, one day I came to realize that all of the choices that I had made were not leading to good things, but they were putting me in more difficult situations. I thought I was just having a good time, but it was leading to nowhere. I was not happy at all; in fact, I was sorrowful and was not sure about everything in my life... When I didn't know what to do and needed help, I sought help from my father. He simply told me that the church is true and that I should pray to God for forgiveness and stop doing the things that are not good. I did as my father told me to do. I prayed for forgiveness, and for the first time in my life, I felt that I really prayed to God. I started going to church again. I made a sincere promise that I would never do those bad things again and made a commitment to live my life that are right in God's view. It's been almost 10 years since the day I repented. I still believe God is there and He loves us. He loves us no matter what we do. I know He gives us commandments because He wants us to be happy. I'm a Mormon because the gospel has changed my life for the better and continues to bless my life and my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the commandments and following the counsels of the prophets and church leaders. I attend sacrament meeting weekly and promise to follow Jesus Christ. I trust in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I believe that living the gospel helps me become a good husband, father, friend, teacher, mentor, and follower.
