Hi I'm Lisa.

I play basketball, can fix my own own car, and am the mother of 4 boys. I am a wife and a survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in San Diego, but spent most of my time all over Utah. I graduated from Lehi High, where I used my height to my advantage playing basketball. I later met my husband in my auto shop class at UVSC. While carrying our twins I finished my courses and graduated with an associates in Automotive Technology. Since, I have been a full time mother to our family of 4 boys. While carrying our last child I was diagnosed with a rare disease, pulmonary hypertension, and informed I had a 30 to 50 percent chance to survive my pregnancy. Although each doctor brought had a dire outlook on my predicament, I knew my faith would carry me through. He was born at 29 weeks and after 3 months was able to come home. A year later we are both doing great!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My mother was a member, however, my father was not. When I was 12 my mom passed away and I was given the opportunity to walk away from the gospel. Although I didn't understand why at the time, I kept going. My family was blessed abundantly through the Bishop, home teachers, young women leaders and missionaries. I was able to feel the spirit when I attended church and again when these amazing examples entered our home. I have been through many great challenges in my life, some by my choice and some just being the luck of the draw. I wouldn't trade a challenge I have been blessed with for anything. Each new experience has strengthened my testimony ten fold. I am blessed with an amazing husband. Four amazing boys that bare witness to my Heavenly Father's love everyday. I am blessed with my health. Sometimes we need something that slows us down so we have time to be thankful for our many blessings. I know Jesus is my Savior and Redeemer! I know my Heavenly Father knows me and loves me! I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and restored Christ's church on the earth. I am blessed with a family who loves me and fills me with the spirit whenever I struggle. I am blessed with my challenges so I can become a stronger person. I know that I do not struggle alone because Christ has felt all my pain, all my sorrow and sins. I know that he atoned for me because he loves me!

How I live my faith

Right now my load is light. I have the great opportunity of getting to know three sisters in my ward who I can share a message of love and light. My main and great calling right now, however, is being a mother to my four boys and teaching them the ways of Christ.
