Hi I'm Josh

I am a husband, father, foster parent, Physician Assistant and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family keeps me very busy, between ballet, gymnastics, and supporting my actress wife I am able to fit in fishing, running, growing and killing my garden in the back yard and playing baseball with my son. I also enjoy working in a family practice clinic and night shifts at the ER.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it makes me happy. I appreciate the joy of being a follower of Jesus Christ, there is great peace in knowing that I am a son of God and that there is a prophet to guide us today.

How I live my faith

Evidence of my faith is found in my relationship with my Savior and with other people I meet on a daily basis. I enjoy drawing near to Jesus Christ through prayer and study of the Bible and Book of Mormon. I have great opportunities to meet and help people who are struggling in one way or another. I try to help them not only as a medical provider but as a Christian. On Sundays I teach a Sunday School class of 5-6 year olds learn the basics of the gospel. I also visit a few families in our neighborhood and help them feel connected with my family and take care of any needs that they may have.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. He lived long ago and was brought back to life on Easter morning. He continues to live and gives revelation to a living prophet today. This continued revelation shows his love for us and his desire for us to understand his words and plan. I have faith that one day I will see my Savior and speak with him face to face. What are Mormon Temples used for?

Temples are used for many things; in short we make covenants (promises) at the temple. I promised my wedding vows to my wife and to God there. Families are joined together forever in the temple. I will be adopting a little girl in the next few months, and will take our whole family to seal our family together for eternity. We will go to the temple as a family and I worship and renew many promises that I make to God as I attend the temple. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

It is no accident that every person who comes to this earth is born to a Father and a Mother. God wishes for nothing else other than our happiness and success in learning his teachings and returning to him. This is best accomplished in a loving home with loving parents and family members. Our beliefs in the family as a sacred and divinely designed training ground dictate the importance of defending our homes from any influence that may try to disrupt the structure of family. Disruptive influences may be overwhelming schedules that do not allow for time together or divorce. I cherish my family and hope that those that see this response will gain some of my perspective and happiness that I enjoy because of my belief. Show more Show less
