Hi I'm Sarah

I am a spontaneous dance partier, a rocky-road ice cream lover, and a tiny-things enthusiast. I love to smile. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to make others smile. When I was in the fourth grade, my dad passed away of an unexpected heart attack. My stepfamily lost their mom to lukemia. Although we still struggle everyday, we rely on eachother and our savior to get through everyday. My goals include college, temple marriage, and a family. I am passionate about all that I do, anam very empathetic. I look for those whose heads hang down in efforts to help lift them up. I love the temple, the gospel, and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the power of the Atonement in my life, which gives me comfort and helps me feel the reality of God. I know that we are children of a Heavenly Father who loves us. I love him. My Savior Jesus Christ gets me through the day anyway and catches me when I fall. The gospel has taught me that although my dad is no longer here with me physically on earth, he is here spiritually, my guardian angel. I am a Mormon because I have felt the presence of God witnessing to me that my family will be together forever in Heaven and that there is life after death. This gives me the strength to make it through each day and has helped me to ultimately feel great joy and see the hand of the Lord in all aspects of my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by recognizing how much I have been blessed, striving to everything I do to be a firm follower of Christ. As Elaine S. Dalton says, As you stand as a witness, obey the commandments, and press forward with steadfastness in Christ,” you will never be alone. I hope to be there for others when they need a friend, and never allow anyone to stand alone. I love to sing, serve, and smile and hope to make a small impact on the world each day.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a manifestation of the Love of God. A testimony comes through the Holy Ghost, as a silent witness to the truth of things, such as Jesus’ atonement and the truth of modern day prophets. Through prayer and scripture study, anyone can gain one. It is not physical, but a feeling given to you as a child of God. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a testimony is one's foundation. As said in Helaman 5:12, "Remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."
