Hi I'm Julie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Pilates Instructor. I love doing anything outdoors, cooking, sewing, reading, trying new things, and learning about different cultures and religions.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an amazing Mormon family. My love, appreciation, and understanding of the gospel has grown and deepened throughout my life. I have had struggles and challenges and have questioned my beliefs many times. But I have always returned and depended on the basic gospel principles I have been taught since I was a child. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me the most peace and happiness in my life. It defines who I am. It makes me a better person. And most importantly, it helps me rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ to make it through this life. And I'm a Mormon because I truly believe that this is Christ's true church, once again restored to the earth.

How I live my faith

I try to be like Christ. I'm not perfect, but I try. I serve in my church and in my community. I try to volunteer my time or talents whenever possible. I serve as a visiting teacher and visit other women in the church with a spiritual message. I have had a lot of church callings with music. I love worshipping Heavenly Father through song. My parents have taught me the importance of giving service by asking their kids to give them a service project every year for Christmas. They don't ask for presents. Once we complete our service projects, we each write them a letter that is read on Christmas morning. I love this tradition because it helps us focus on the real reason for Christmas, the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. And it helps me try to look outside of myself throughout the year for ways to give service to the people around me. It helps me try to follow Christ's example.
