Hi I'm Neil

I'm a father, an engineer, an amatuer chef and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 3. I like spending time with my kids and teaching them things. I like to play and follow baseball and football. I'm a big fan of science fiction and fantasy novels. I love to cook and invite people over.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. There is so much uncertainty in the world yet when I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ I feel peace. I'm never more sure of myself than when I am following Christ's example and serving people. Having the gospel in my family to teach my children makes me hopeful for the future. I can teach my children truths that will have an eternal impact in their lives. The Book of Mormon has blessed my life as I've lived the doctrines it teaches. I feel the spirit of God when I hear the words of living prophets and apostles. I know that they teach the truth and I know that following their counsel will bring me closer to my savior.

How I live my faith

I think that one of the neatest things about Christ's church is that everybody has the opportunity to teach. There is so much teaching taking place in our meetings and sooner or later everybody gets the chance. I've taught early morning scripture classes for youth before they attend high school, classes on Sunday for adult men and women, and classes for young children. I visit members of the church in their homes sharing gospel messages and offering service. As I teach others, my own knowledge grows and we all feel the spirit of God.
