Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a teacher, a musician, a husband and father and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm finishing school, getting a teaching degree in both choral music and Spanish education. I love everything to do with Latin culture - the music, dance, food, and of course the language "el idioma de los ángeles." Music is one of my personal outlets and playing the piano and singing always uplifts me. I love to run when the weather isn't too cold and just finished my second half-marathon. I'm a husband to an adorable gal and the dad of a precious little girl. Even though it's tough being a dad and going to school, it's worth it to come home to a beautiful family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church has brought me close to God and Jesus Christ. The teachings in this church have truly taught me to pray to Heavenly Father, helped me to understand the importance of His Son Jesus Christ and learn how to recognize His Holy Spirit. The scriptures, including the Bible and especially The Book of Mormon have great teachings that help me on my path to becoming more like Christ. The church has a prophet which gives me guidance through today's challenges. Within the church their is a great feeling of family and friendship, and I know I am always among friends wherever I go in His church.

How I live my faith

I am able to use my talents as a musician to praise the Lord and uplift others. I feel that music is a powerful way to share our beliefs and the message of Christ. I sing in the church choir. Every Sunday I play the organ and play many of our beautiful hymns helping other to think of Christ and how to better follow Him. As a teacher I try to be an example of what Christ, the greatest teacher, would be. I do my best to let the light of Christ shine through me, and help students to realize that life is good and being good is the best way to live.
