Hi I'm Kasee

I'm a cook. I'm a baker. I'm a shopper. I'm a blogger. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up my whole life in Texas and I am proud of it! I studied Spanish in Spain after high school graduation and I loved it. Since then I have traveled to more than 18 countries! I love meeting new people and discovering new places. I studied International Relations in college and now I am working in the nonprofit world. My favorite passion is cooking and baking and I love to share new recipes with people on my food blog. I love trying new restaurants and new foods, especially international foods from my travels. I also love to throw parties. I find joy in seeing the people around me happy especially when they are eating my food or hanging with friends at one of my parties!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was young when I began attending the Mormon church with my mother I immediately liked it. As I got older I came to realize it was because I felt the spirit at church and through all the wonderful people at church that I met. I have prayed on numerous occasions to know the church is true and the answer is always a resounding, yes! I know that we have prophets on earth today that lead and guide the church. I know with all my heart that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me and knows me personally. These facts help keep me strong in the church. They affirm the truths that I learn every Sunday and in my own personal study. It hasn't always been easy to be a Mormon and to hold strong to my beliefs, but I have felt it over and over again in my heart that this is where I am supposed to be and I wouldn't have it any other way.

How I live my faith

I try to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. every day. Right now, I have made a goal to perform an act of service every day, whether it just be smiling at a stranger or bringing cookies to a neighbor. It may not be anything huge, but I want to serve others and bring joy to my life as well. I was also recently called to work with the teenage girls at church and I am so excited to help them build their faith during such a crucial time in their lives. I hope that through my own life experiences and just being a friend I can help them through their personal struggles and triumphs. My husband and I are trying to create a good home for our future children. We try to have family night every Monday where we talk about a gospel principle and then we do something fun like going and getting yogurt! We have also made it a priority to attend church every Sunday, even if we are exhausted and just want to hang out at home. I also attend monthly activities with women at church and it is always fun to have an excuse just to talk to friends and eat treats. Sometimes we even talk about important things like how we want to raise our children in a Christ centered home and how to help friends in need.
