Hi I'm Amber.

I grew up in a small town in GA. I joined the church when I was 12. I love being a mom and wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in GA and went to college in Utah, a few years after I joined the church. From there, I was accepted into an internship in Orlando, FL at Walt Disney World Resorts. I had an amazing time and it changed my life...as it was there I met my wonderful husband. Together, my husband and I bought a home in GA but a few years later lost it to the economy. We moved to Colorado where I was able to get a great job working at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. I work until 2:45pm each day and come home in time to watch our three (soon to be four) awesome kids, as my husband heads off to school. I am lucky to have him as a stay-at-home dad during the day. I love watching magic shows. I was president of the magic club in college where I met some wonderful people who will forever be my friends. My husband and I LOVE playing games, especially European board games, such as Notre Dam, Dominion, and Settlers of Catan. We try to go on husband/wife dates three times a month, to have special, quality time together. Another of my greatest hobbies of all time is making my boys happy. My husband and I love doing things with them and aren't afraid to bring them along to everything from long road trips to long grocery shopping trips! Currently, my boys are 6, 4, and 3. The baby is due in April and while we assume it's going to be another boy, we don't know yet for sure. My life is my family and I am forever grateful that I will have them forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was searching for the truth. It started when I found out that Mormons do not believe that Christ and God are the same person. Although I was raised Southern Baptist, where they firmly believe They are One and the same, that never made sense to me. I knew God spoke at Jesus's baptism, and I read several times that Christ stood on the righthand of God, and God would say, "This is my Beloved Son..." When I found a church that believed as I knew, I had to find out more. Now, I'm a Mormon because I learned all I could, read all I could, asked all the questions I could, and then prayed myself for the truth. I know God loves me and He wouldn't send me in a direction I shouldn't be in. I prayed and God told me Christ is my Savior and this is His church, on earth today, as it was when he was living physically on Earth. I'm a Mormon because I know I can be with my family forever, as the family is the center of Christ's church. I will have my babies and my husband with me forever, even unto eternity. I am so grateful for that.

How I live my faith

I am able to be part of the largest women's organization in the world, The Relief Society. Through my membership in this organization, I am able to serve my fellow sisters and their families. I know if I need something emotionally or physically, I can rely on the sisters who are also members of this society. At least once a month, we visit sisters we are assigned to, just to check on them and share an uplifting message or thought. I enjoy getting to know sisters I may not know otherwise, if it were not for this calling. I also serve in the church by accepting assignments given to me. If I were asked to teach a class, plan an activity, or visit others, I do it happily. I love serving, as that is the key to our church--serving and being served.
