Hi I'm Aimee

I'm an Army wife, stay at home mom to four kiddos, amature photographer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the church my whole life. I come from a large kinda crazy family. I am married to my one and only and have been for over 15 years now. We have four great kids to round out our family. I stay at home with the kids while my husband is currently serving in the US Army as a physician. He is busy at work and I am busy at home. We are the epitome of a team. At the end of the day we catch up on what the other one has done that day and make make a battle plan for the next day together. I love photography. Taking pictures really makes me happy. My kids are so trained that when they hear the zipper on my camera bag they automatically say cheese! I love what pictures can do for moments and memories. I love that pictures can often convey messages that sometimes words can never do. I love learning more and practicing to become better at capturing those kind of pictures. I love my job as a mom. Truly nothing could replace the importance of that in my life. My kids are the best. Each is so unique and so full of personality. Each child also teaches me the lessons I need to learn in order to be the best me that I can be. Each day I learn and grow thanks to my job as a mom!

Why I am a Mormon

While being raised in the church all my life I did have to come to a point where I asked myself if I (me and no one else) truly believed that this was the true church. When I finally asked myself that question, I prayed and fasted, read my scriptures, basically everything I knew of to do to get answers. I knew by the sweet peace that followed those many prayers that indeed this was his church. I have never questioned the truthfulness of the gospel again. Daily I am reminded of the answers I received so long ago while I continue to read my scriptures and to pray. The gospel has always been an easy way for me to live my life. While so many people around me felt suffocated by the rules and standards that we were asked to live by, I saw them truly as a blessing. I knew then and I still know today that following the commandments is a blessing. Especially now in a world that seems to change it's moral compass on a whim, I know that if I follow the plan that my Heavenly Father has always had for his children, there will be happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday in how I interact with my neighbors and friends. I try to treat others the way the Savior would if He were here. By offering a word of encouragement or simply by saying thank you to someone who bagged my groceries. Helping a neighbor with their children or just listening to them when they need someone to. I share my testimony of the Savior and his gospel by my actions and by living my life so that others can see that I believe in Him. I serve in the church by teaching the youth ages 12-13. I love helping young people learn for themselves that the gospel is true and that happiness comes from living their lives the way the Savior would want them to. As well as teaching other children about the gospel I love teaching my own children, letting them see by my example that living the gospel brings true happiness.
