Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I have been so blessed in my life to have a good family and plenty of love and activities to keep me busy. My husband and I restore "Hot Rods". We enjoy working together and going to car shows all over the western United States. We are currently restoring a vintage travel trailer, 1953 Suburban and a 1957 Chevy Belair Wagon. We also are busy raising goats and chickens as pets.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I studied and prayed about the truthfulness of the full restoration on the original gospel of Jesus Christ with the full Priesthood authority. I was able to receive personal revelation that I should be a member of this Church. I was raised until I was 14 1/2 years old in Idaho. Much of the population of Idaho at that time was Mormon. It was easy to just go along with things as they were when the majority of your friends and neighbors are doing the same thing. When I moved to southern California it was a whole different story. My beliefs, values and other things were different. At that time I needed to know for myself if this "Church" things was true or not. I didn't want to stick out and be a bit different for nothing. That is when I really started to study and pray to know what I should be doing. That is when I was so blest to have the Holy Ghost bear witness to me of the truthfulness of the Saviors' Gospel. It made me a much stronger individual and I have been able to overcome many difficult things in my life because of my knowledge of the gospel, My Savior and the Atonement.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by loving the people I come in contact with daily. I try to make other peoples day better, with simple help, a smile or a kind word. It helps me have a much better day if I strive to serve others daily. I also try to teach by example and word those around me, friends, family and neighbors. I am not shy about people knowing I am a Mormon and what I believe in. I have always had many friends that are not members of my church. They have always enjoyed being able to attend activities and events with me. I have been called to teach a lesson one Sunday each month in our Women's organization. I really enjoy sharing this time with other sisters. I also try to attend the Temple when ever possible to help other people with their eternal progression.
