Hi I'm Brittany.

I love my family, friends and new adventures. I love to create, cook, blog, hike in the foothills and plan parties. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of four kids. Three girls and one little boy. They are my whole life. I love my family deeply. I love my husband, I love the gospel, I love my friends. My husband and I met in high school. He joined the LDS faith when he was 19 years old. We waited a year and a half and were married in the Laie, Hawaii temple. It was the happiest day, very small and intimate and absolutely perfect. It's been 10+ years and I wouldn't change a thing. We recently moved a considerable distance from both our families. Somedays it's hard not to be closer to loved ones, but we are becoming a stronger family unit. Depending on each other and trusting each other more than ever before. We have amazing friends, who have become like family. We love where we live, the schools, the wards, our neighborhood, the people and the outdoors. Living in Colorado has been one of our greatest blessings. We love entertaining, throwing parties, late nights hanging out and laughing with friends… we spend most our days running from one place to the next, music, dance, soccer, church, it never stops, our days are hectic and somewhat crazy, but there is nothing better than watching your kids learn and grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I never questioned it. The gospel teaches basic principles for good. It focuses on Family and Service, Jesus Christ and the love he has for us. It always felt good and it always felt right. Watching and participating as my husband went through the discussions and read the Book of Mormon only confirmed to me what I already knew. They day I married him in the temple strengthened my testimony, it was beautiful, simple and I felt the spirit confirm I had made the right choice. I have felt the hand of the Lord in so many areas of my life, day in and day out. There is no denying he knows me and he loves me and he is watching out for me and my family. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me and my family a great deal of happiness, it leads us in the right direction, it teaches and strengthens us. I wouldn't have the life or family I do today without it.

How I live my faith

I attend weekly church meetings with my family, I take the sacrament (communion), pay my tithing, read the scriptures (book of mormon and the bible) and try every day to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. I plan activities to strengthen and teach the 8-10 year old girls in our ward congregation, we do service projects, fun activities, crafts and focus on passing off goals in three areas (learning and living the gospel, developing talents and serving others). I also visit with different ladies each month sharing messages of hope and happiness. I do my best to serve where needed, bringing meals to others or watching their children. One of the greatest ways I live my faith is by teaching my children. We are doing our best to raise strong, helpful, motivated and happy individuals who love the Lord. We try to have family meals, Family Home Evening (every Monday night, a small lesson, song, activity and treat), we read the scriptures and share our testimonies, we talk about being good people and choosing the right, looking out for others, treating others as we would like to be treated. We include them in service projects and love them the best we know how.
