Hi I'm Brittany

I grew up in Southern California. I love working with and mentoring youth and young adults. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of 7 girls. There were lots of hand-me-downs and plenty of barbies and dolls to go around. I left my warm Southern California home and attended Brigham Young University-Idaho for 2 years. After obtaining my associates degree, I transferred to Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah) where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Family Life with an emphasis in human development. I love learning and studying families and marriage. My education has helped me to become a better person as I try to improve myself as a spouse and a future mother. I love working with children and have worked with children from birth to college age. Currently I work with freshman students through on-campus housing at Brigham Young University. No matter what the age or ability of a person, I believe there is always something to be learned from everyone we meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to be born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My parents taught us the importance of going to church, paying tithing and keeping the commandments. I have always loved the gospel and strive each day to become a better person. Having the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life provides me with a sense of knowledge of not only God's plan for me in this life, but also in the hereafter. I know that I can obtain great blessings along with my family and future family as I strive to live as a worthy Latter-day Saint member and continuously work to improve myself. I also believe in eternal families. I was blessed to be raised by wonderful parents. I love my family and want to be with them forever. This is possible through eternal marriage in the temple of the Lord.

How I live my faith

My husband and I attend church each Sunday. We take the sacrament each Sunday which reminds us of the Savior's atoning sacrifice for our sins, and allows us to renew ourselves each week to becoming better. Every other week we teach a class called Marriage and Family Relations. This class is designed to help couples strengthen their marriages and families. I am assigned two women whom I visit each month who live in our ward. We visit, see if they have any physical or spiritual needs, and share a gospel message. We also do things throughout the week such as reading our scriptures, praying together, and attending the temple.
