Hi I'm Stefanie

I'm married to my best friend, cookies and cream milkshakes are delish, I can't get enough of my kids, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend, Ryan and we have 2 beautiful children and a cute little dog. We love to spend time together being silly and having fun. We enjoy being outside the most, whether hiking, camping, or just playing at the park. I really enjoy cooking and baking, especially if it is a challenging recipe. I love eating the fruits of my labor (mostly baked goods!) and my favorite right now is a chocolate peanut butter cake :o)

Why I am a Mormon

Well, honestly, when I was living at home, I was Mormon because my family was. I was of the "everyone else is doing it" mentality. I was having a lot of problems my senior year of high school with my parents, and decided to apply to BYU-provo to get as far away from them as possible (I was living in Atlanta at the time). What started out as a way to get back at my parents turned into a huge blessing for me. Living so far away from my parents and family, alone, helped me to rely on my Heavenly Father through prayer. It gave me a chance to really ponder what this religion meant to me, not just what it meant to my parents. Now that I have my own family, I am just very grateful that I have the gospel in my life. I am overcome with joy to know that if I live righteously, I can be with my family forever, that this life isn't all there is. That I can be with my best friend, my husband forever. Who wouldn't want that in their lives!

How I live my faith

Well, since I have kids, there isn't a day that goes by that I'm not praying for help and strength and patience! And I know I receive help and inspiration for what to do to be the best mother and teacher to them. At church, I am in charge of teaching young children more about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through music and singing. We have a lot of fun every Sunday singing and playing, but also, feeling our Heavenly Father's love for us when we sing. I enjoy participating in activities that the church coordinates, whether a fun holiday celebration, or service in the community. I try to love others around me, no matter who they are, because I know that they are Heavenly Father's children too!
