Hi I'm Jack

Of all the things I may be, I am most proud and grateful to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father and a grandfather from a previous marriage. I grew up mostly on the farm, but spent 25 years in the airline industry. I love to play golf. I was 65 when I was baptized and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because although my wife (who I love with all my heart) had been a member for over 30 years, I had to know for myself of its truthfulness. I prayed with all my heart and soul to know if the Church and Book of Mormon were true. The Holy Ghost testified to me in a way I could not deny, and in front of witnesses. If the Book of Mormon was true, then Joseph Smith did in fact see and do the things he said he did. Plus, we have a promise from Heavenly Father that our family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I have several callings in the Church of which I am grateful. (Idleness is a tool of Satan.) I pray several times a day - some days almost constantly. I read the scriptures daily without fail, and I look for ways to be of service to others.
