Hi I'm Christie.

I'm 24 and am a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 24 years old and have been a member of the church all my life. I've been married for almost 3 years and have a 1 month old daughter. I got my BA degree in Children's Studies and have worked with children for the past 5 years. I recently made the decision to quit my job to say at home and raise my family. I come from a unique family. Growing up my parents did foster care and continue to do so to this day! Over the last 30 years of doing this, they have adopted 9 kids, in addition to having 5 of their own. I have a love for all people, especially those who come from different walks of life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church and I am so thankful I was! Being a member of this church brings so much joy into my life and I've received so many blessings by following the gospel! The church teaches you how to be a good person and how to become more like the Savior. The church gives us standards to live by in this deteriorating world around us. The church encourages us to live good clean lives by teaching us essential principals, such as, staying out of debt, being faithful to your spouse, respecting all people no matter what, having a family and spending time with your family to build solid relationships. The church strives to give us the tools to make are lives as full and rewarding as possible, if we will but follow what the Savior teaches.

How I live my faith

Outside of church, I try to live my faith by always being a good person. I try to be a good friend to all I come in contact with, be it neighbors, co-workers or just people I meet in passing. I try to be a good listener when my friends are down and try to lend help and support whenever needed. I always go the extra mile to show people I care. I try to live my life in a way that shows people who I am and what I stand for. I dress modestly, use kind language, bargain shop, eat healthy, and try to live a clean life. Inside the Church, I teach once a month for the women 18 and up. I've been teaching for just over a year now and I love it! I try to teach the ladies through my lessons how to be a better person, wife, mother, friend, neighbor and follower of Christ. I find that I learn more from the sisters I teach, than they learn from me! We share personal stories, insights, and revelations to help inspire and lift one another and we are truly blessed each Sunday by this sisterhood.
