Hi I'm Metui

I'm from Utah.

About Me

I love to draw and design, very artsy. I'm a high school graduate and got my call to Vancouver Canada Mission preaching in the Mandarin Chinese Language.

Why I am a Mormon

Right now as a missionary, I find that what I'm teaching is true. I know that God lives who watches me and loves and understands the troubles that I'm going thru each and every day. And how do I know that? The scriptures tell me so everytime I read them. The Bible says that God loved us so much, he sent His only Begotten Son. Some say that we don't need anymore "addition" but I know that the Book of Mormon isn't an addition. It's a book that testifies that the Bible already taught us. So... I'll end by saying this: I know that Joseph Smith Jr. truly saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that thru the power of the Holy Ghost, Smith translated it in English. I know that Joseph was a prophet of God. I know that the current prophet, Thomas S. Monson, is a prophet. But I know, as I know the Bible and the Book of Mormon are true, that Jesus is Our Savior who presides over this church. In His name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? I try to be a good example and have a good/positive at every place I go to or in any situation I'm in.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

I am not married yet nor do I have a son/daughter but through my experiences in being part of a family, this is what I can say: That both my parents were my first teachers for they taught we what was right or wrong. They were my protectors because they kept our home safe from negative influences the outside world, for our home was a safe haven. In this home, children can learn to love and serve each other. My parents were also my best friends who, even though there were times we've quarreled, they were always there to help and support me. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

I love my family and the Church teaches that families can be together forever... meaning I can be with my relatives that have passed away. That is one of the powerful messages for me because I have family members, both immediate and extended, that I love and grew close to who passed away. I can even be with members who've died long before I was born. But we can't gain that blessing if we don't follow God's commandments and accept the Atonement of Christ through the sacred ordinances which are performed in the Temples. The Church encourages people to study their genealogy so we may do these ordinances for them so we may be bound or "sealed." Show more Show less
