Hi I'm Kim

I'm a wife, a mother of 9 children, and a pro at working with organized chaos. I love getting to know people and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my best friend and I am the mother of nine wonderful children. I love being a wife and I am very blessed to be able to stay home and take care of our kids. I love sunshine and warm weather. I like to exercise and to set goals to challenge myself. I don't have a lot of free time, but if given the chance I like to read and draw. I love to work with people; I love children, teenagers and adults. What a joy it is to talk to people of all backgrounds and to listen to their life stories and experiences! When my youngest kids reach school age, I want to go back to college and finish my nursing degree. My dream would be to work with babies and children in orphanages and give them medical care and attention and at the same time be able to show them love, to sing to them and hold them. I want all children to feel loved.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of the Church, so I grew up learning the teachings of the gospel from an early age. I think I've always believed but I did ask my Heavenly Father in prayer if this church is true. My answer came by a very quiet, but powerful witness of the Spirit that the things I had been taught are indeed true. Now as I have experienced many of life's challenges through my adulthood, I am even more convinced of the truthfulness of the gospel. I see God's hand in my life daily and I experience His love and guidance continuously. I love my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ and I am grateful for the bounteous ways they bless me. I have also gained a strong testimony of the truthfulness of Joseph Smith humbly praying to God as a young boy and receiving an answer for himself. I know God hears and answers prayers. He loves all of His children and He wants us to return to live with Him after we die. I know we can live with God if we are faithful and make and keep sacred covenants with Him. How grateful I am to know that God loves us and wants to bless us. At times, He may show His love for us by giving us trials to help us learn and grow. Although these times may be tough while we are going through them, He is always right beside us ready to help us. It is when we are struggling, that we learn to really rely on Heavenly Father and it is through these times that He extends His love and we witness perhaps an increase of His tender mercies. I know God lives, that His son, Jesus Christ, is our Savior and Redeemer. I am so thankful for this knowledge and that I can be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mormons.

How I live my faith

What a wonderful opportunity it is to serve others in our church and community! I think I learn more and gain more when I am serving than those I am asked to serve. I love serving the children, the youth, and the women of our congregation. I have had many opportunities to work with each age group and have learned to love assisting wherever I can. I also love doing humanitarian projects in our community. Currently I have been asked to serve in my congregation with 8 to 11 year old girls as their Activity Girls assistant. This means I have the opportunity to spend two Wednesday evenings a month teaching these young girls how to set goals and become young women full of faith and testimony. I love it! Being a member of our church, is an everyday commitment. It is the way we live our life. It is important to our family to attend church every Sunday. Prayer, individually and as a family, is essential as is reading and studying the scriptures. I try to learn God's ways and implement His teachings into my life. I try to follow Christ's example of how to love and serve.
