Hi I'm Renee Hartmann

I'm a Mormon. I am from San Diego. I currently live in Orange County, CA. I like to run, & love to watch our 5 kids play sports

About Me

I am a sports nut, growing up I loved playing basketball in high school and continued to play basketball in college. I met my husband while attending college. I graduated with my BS in Commercial Physical Education/Corporate Wellness, I worked for two years in my field of study and absolutely loved it. Love everything about staying healthy and keeping fit. I have 5 children (4 sons and 1 daughter) I have chosen to be a "stay at home mom" and feel so blessed that I can be involved in their activities, which are mostly sports. They play football, basketball, volleyball and my daughter in basketball and soccer. I love to go running, and have ran the St. George Marathon twice. It clears my mind, sometimes I feel like I can run forever and I love that feeling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love how it makes me feel. When I live the teachings of this gospel, I am happy. I grew up in a Mormon family, but as I got older, I wanted to know if what my parents had taught me all those years was true. I studied the Book of Mormon, I prayed to know the truth, through my own experiences I have come to know that God lives, that Jesus Christ lived on this earth and died for us. Why do I continue to be a Mormon? My answer is because I know that Jesus Christ directs this gospel, I know the teachings are true. I love the morals and values that this gospel gives me, the guidelines it gives me in my marriage and parenting. I love the clean living lifestyle. I love that the most important thing about being a Mormon is your family.

How I live my faith

In my faith I serve in the women's organization. We meet each Sunday for an hour after our regular church service. I take a turn teaching the other women about strengthening our families and increasing our faith. I also help to coordinate a monthly meeting during the week where we learn more skills to build a strong home, build stronger family relationships. I love getting to know the other women and learning from them. I particularly love being involved in the high school sports teams and getting to know the other parents. For the past three years I have served on the Football Boosters at the high school and really enjoy serving and being a part of that group. It's a closeness and excitement that can only happen at those Friday night games. I love having many friends outside my own faith and learn so much from them also.
