Hi I'm Heidi

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an Army wife and a mom of three beautiful children. I love to workout and I enjoy learning about eating healthier.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in eternal families! I love my family, and yes, sometimes they get on my nerves, but I see the bigger picture and I want to be with them forever.

How I live my faith

We just moved to Killeen a couple months ago so I don't have an official calling yet. I have taught children in previous places that we've lived, and I've also helped organize regular visits for women in the Church. Teaching children at church can be challenging but oh-so-rewarding, too...I often learn from the children I teach.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Mormon women don't hold the priesthood simply because we have other responsibilities--after all, we are only human! ;-) Many of us have motherhood, which, if you're a mother, you know how trying it can be at times! We believe motherhood is a divine calling from our Heavenly Father. We strive to be the cornerstone for our family, supporting our husbands and teaching our children about secular as well as spiritual things. We work (thanklessly at times!) toward making our home a sanctuary from the world. Being consistent with this day in and day out prepares our children to do the same with their families in the future. We also have the Relief Society, which we believe is a divinely organized society that supports the women of the Church. It is really a great responsibility to support the ladies who keep the families of this church on the straight and narrow. Men hold the priesthood, but we as women are equal when it comes to our roles in the church. We each support each other! Show more Show less
