Hi I'm Karen

I am from Snowflake Arizona, I love the peace that faith in Christ brings into my life. I am a artist, a dog trainer and a mormon.

About Me

I am a 23 year old and just figuring out what I am going to do with my life. I am the youngest of 6 kids and live in a small town in northern Arizona. I really enjoy hiking in the mountains and rock hunting in my back yard of 40 acers. I love painting wildlife art and pet portraits, spending time with my family and working on my dream of training dogs to help people with disabilities. I love the small town life, country living, and going on long walks with my dogs down quiet dirt roads.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becouse this is the only thing that works. No other thing in this world can give me what I have found in this church. My family means the world to me, the mountains, painting and dog training give me a lot of joy, my friends enrich my life and help me on my way. But if all of that were to be taken away from me and I were left with nothing, I could still declare with confidence that Jesus is my Savior, that He lives and loves me. I would still know that I am a child of my loving Heavenly Father and that He has a plan for me that extends beyond this time and place. I would still be able to declare, with all the certinty of my heart that this is Christ's church on the earth, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that we do, in very fact, have a prophet, called of God, to lead us in this day in time. Nothing else in this world could ever replace the peace and certinty that I have about my life, my purpous and my place in God's plan. I have this certinty becouse of years of prayer, study, obediance to God's commandments and personal experiance. I know these things becouse of the quiet reasurences from the Holy Spirit telling me, telling my soul, that it is true. I have served a mission for the church in California for a year and a half. If you have never served a mission for the LDS curch it can be hard to understand just how hard they are. We, as missionaries are tested in so many ways as we strive to share the gosple with God's children. My experiance of being a missionarey has helped me to understand the reality of the gosple and the atonement and the value of them to each human soul. This is why I'm mormon, this is why I belonge to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, becouse it is the only thing that works. The only thing left standing when all other things have failed. It is God's eternal truths given to His children so that we can be happy in this life and be able to be with God, Christ and our familys in the next life.

How I live my faith

My sister has Douns Syndrome, becouse of this she is the most unjudgmental, loving, honest, forginving person that I know. She exemplifys what it means to be a Christlike person and she sets a great example for me. I belive that the purpous of this church is to help us develop those same attributes, it is to help us follow the example of Jesus Christ. I live my religion by striving every day, even though I know that I often fail, to become the kind of person, that is some small way, reminds others of the Savior. I live my religion by trying to be a blessing to others. I know that threw the atonement of Jesus Christ I can continualy become better and have my faults and weanesses become strengths as I press forward with faith and rely on God every step of the way. Christ has orginized the church in shuch a way as to help people do this.
