Hi I'm Carolina

I live in England but I grew up in South America. I am a primary school teacher, a mother of four and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi, I was born in Lima Peru and lived there until my early twenties. Married to a an English man. We have four children, three grown up sons and a little girl. I have worked in primary school as a teacher but currently, I do translating work from English to Spanish for the company my husband wrks for. I am a member of the PTA committee at my daughter's school and enjoy music, singing and running.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church over thirty years ago, when I was in my mid-teens. I joined because after having studied at a convent school, I was left with so many unanswered questions. I can honestly say that to this day, there is not a single questions which the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has not been able to answer. I truly believe the church is led by God and its doctrine contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My husband and I chose to raise our family in this faith and as a result, we grown stronger bonds through the years. As my children grow up I can see the their beliefs have positively affected their lives. Not only they have reached adulthood in confidence but also have contributed successfully to the church through missionary work and to society through their career choices and other voluntary work provided. I love been a Mormon because through the church, I have found true happiness - the joy of helping and loving others! Also because of the great lessons received through the positive and powerful example of many other Mormon mothers - this helped me so much in successfully raising my three sons and my daughter.

How I live my faith

Being a Christian, I am always looking for opportunities to help others out. Recently, I ran a marathon to raise funds for my daughter's school and become involved in the local village summer fair. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have been involved in helping others in many different ways. I love the way how in the Church, we are collectively responsible for running the different programmes which the Church offers. For instance, over the past four years I have been responsible for running a scripture study youth group which we call 'Seminary'. We met almost every day early in the morning for about one hour. Although this demands a degree of commitment, the rewards hugely outweigh the sacrifice of getting up early to teach. I has bee a real privilege for me to help young minds to understand, feel and apply Christian beliefs which are found within the Bible and other scriptures. I love my Saviour Jesus Christ because He is my source of faith and strength. I am so grateful to him for paying for my sins and for extending to me the opportunity of life over death, both, spiritual and physical.
