Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon. I'm a Wife and a future mother. I love my life, my husband and my Heavenly Father dearly.

About Me

i was born and raised in up on the ski hill, so im a crazy avaid skiier and snowboarder, until i was 13 and then we moved. it was really hard adjustment but with the help of my friends, a strong family i pulled through it. i love the ocean and the water, it has a way of calming me down even when i want to scream and punch something. i'm just working right now but i so want to become a teacher so that i can help kids want to learn and be better adults. i really want to teach special needs kids and help them along their way so they can live the life they want to live and not be restricted by what society makes them. i love kids and i want to be a mom someday. My husband and i met in september of 2010, as soon as he returned home from his mission in Florida. but we didnt hit it off right away. it took him a lot of sundays, a few tetimony meetings and one stake confrence to ask me out on a date. we started hanging out and for a 2 whole weeks we were truly infatuated with each other. then one day, a thursday, he asked me to be his wife and i said YES! we were sealed in the Seattle Temple on September 10th, 2011, almost a year after we met, and are having a wonderful life together. i love my life and i can't wait to enjoy it with my husband, and hopefully find a house where we both can live. hopefully, one day, they will say to us "and they lived happily ever after"

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2010, my best friend asked me to start coming to FHE( Family Home Evening) with her, so i did a couple of times and i started making friends there. everyone was really nice and i really like the atmosphere. On one occasion there happened to be a baptism before FHE and kyle asked me to go with her. i said ok, and we went. after, a couple of missionaries came up to me and asked if i would like to recieve a lesson. i wasn't sure what they meant so i just went along with it. i TOLD them right in the beginning that i didnt want to get baptized, i would just like to learn. Elders Hansen and Evans said that they would just teach the truth and i could choose to accept if i wanted. after hearing a few lesson and really feeling the truth in their words and feeling the Holy Spirit in my life i decided that what they must be saying is true. i knew it was my time to become apart of this church. on March 30th, 2010 i became a Mormon and i am still learning what that means, like the temple and learning to live by the Spirit. i didnt believe them at first but i fell in love with the restored gospel. i found my husband, a return missionary, and my soul mate in this church and i hope one day to teach our children about the true Church apon the earth.

How I live my faith

i live my faith very simpily. i go to church and help out in my community, i love doing service because it helps me feel like that i am helping my Heavenly Father reach out and feel love. there are always oppurtunities to do missionary work, even if you have never had the training. in the May 2011 confrence there was a talk that mentioned that "sometimes the best missionaries, have never been missionaries at all." i believe that just smiling at someone and asking a total stranger about their day is the best service. the best way to learn about our church is to listen to General Confrence and listen to the words of the Prophet and his counslers, they are truly men of God and will speak only the truth and always have words of wisdom. i love listening to them because they bring in my faith and i can help other by their words, and thats how i live my faith.
