Hi I'm Jace

I am a comic book nerd and I like to play pokemon; I also am serving the Lord in rainy Washington and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am like a lot of other young adults, I enjoy doing things with friends especially sports. In high school I played basketball and ran track and golfed; I made a great deal of my friends through sports. I worked at a movie theater for 5 years and have come to love watching movies, whether it be with friends or my family. My favorite Television shows are the "Big Bang Theory", "how i met your mother" and "The Office". Something else I like to do is to play Xbox, it is good to be able to sit down and unplug from the world to play some games. I plan on going to college in a few years where I want to study either Medicine or Nutrition. I am looking forward to continuing my life and finding an eternal companion, and also finding a career that makes me happy. One word or two words that would describe me is happy or positive. I have a good outlook on life and like to try and make others laugh because I believe when there is laughter everything is better.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. I guess there are many reasons for why I am: Firstly I know it to be true I have not known for a surety all my life I just recently found out in the past few years. I was raised with the values of the church and I lived them I just knew that they were what I needed to do. One thing the church asks the young men to do is to serve a mission and I grew up planning on serving so as I approached the time when I was going to be leaving I realized that I needed to gain my own testimony or belief so that I could more fully preach the gospel with more conviction. With that as my goal I began reading the Book of Mormon more often and praying to my father in heaven with more intent to give me a sign or a feeling so that i could gain my own testimony. After I decided to do that I did gain a testimony it was not an amazing vision or anything life shifting it was just a calming feeling that I would receive when I would do those things. It is hard to explain what it felt like unless you feel it for yourself so if you are reading this give it a try because think about it what do you have to lose, it is only for your benefit. Secondly I am a Mormon because this church makes me happy I love to be a part of the blessings it gives and I love the friends that I have gained through coming to church and other church activities. Thirdly the church's views on families is the most amazing thing in the world, the ability and knowledge that I will be able to live with them again and see them after this life brings so much comfort and peace to my soul. Family is so important to me and I love how our Father in heaven has given us the blessing of eternal families. I would like you to know that I know that God is our eternal father, that we are his literal sons and daughters, he loves us and knows us. I know that Jesus is our savior and he did die for us and our sins, I know families are forever, and that this church is true. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen

How I live my faith

What I do in the church at this point of my life is I am serving a full time mission in Everett Washington. Basically I am trying to bring others unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel. In serving a mission I search with my companion to find those who may be interested in hearing about the gospel and we then share a message that will help them come to the knowledge of the truth. We also do service projects for those who may be in need. I will be serving for the next 2 years of my life which may not sound fun to you but to me knowing that i am helping others have a better life it is much worth the time. Also I figure any time that i give to God I will be blessed ten fold for the service, because he loves his children and rewards them for doing what is right. I also try to be a good example to those around me and by doing that i hope that they will see how happy the gospel has made me in my life and I would hope that they will search for that same happiness.
