Hi I'm Amanda

I'm from a small town. I'm a farmer. I'm a beach bum. I love to travel. I'm a law student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in rural Utah. I loved growing up on a farm. I learned how to work hard, but my dad made sure that I knew how to play hard as well. We owned Jeeps and live near the canyons and mountains so we used those Jeeps a lot. I applied my work ethic to my schooling and went to law school, where my experience and tenacity helped me get through school.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I'm Mormon because my parents raised me Mormon. I stayed Mormon because I gained my own testimony that Jesus is the Christ and Savior of the world. I once met a man who accused me of not having my own opinion and just following in my parents tradition. I took an minute to honestly think why I am a Mormon. I honestly believe that Jesus is our Redeemer. That through Joseph Smith, a prophet, our Heavenly Father restored the whole truth.

How I live my faith

Right now I am in a single's ward and coordinate the ward Family Home Evening's. Every Monday evening we have seven different group's meet as a "family" to learn more about the gospel and build cohesiveness among the members. The church encourage's families to have a lesson once a week to bring their families together. Because many young single adults are not with their own families, we get together to support each other as a family would. I love to have a spiritual moment every day of the week. That usually comes in the form of scripture reading, whether in the Bible or the Book of Mormon I get a spiritual uplift when I read.
