Hi I'm Greg

I grew up and lived most of my life on a farm in Montana. My wife and I started our family of 5 children in a small community.

About Me

I am the 4th of 5 children raised on a dairy farm. After serving a church mission in Hawaii & Guam, I met my wife at Brigham Young University, received a degree in music education and then returned to the family farm in partnership with my parents and brothers. After selling the dairy, I began a career as a music teacher while still living on the farmland near my parents and brothers families. Our family of 5 children has grown to include 8 grandchildren. We have moved to Arizona and have the opportunity to be near some of our sons' families especially enjoying watching our grandchildren grow. My interest in music continues with a recent hobby of learning to play the banjo.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, I had to come to a knowledge of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by my own study and prayer. My testimony of the truthfulness of the Church was greatly strengthened as I served the Lord as a young missionary. My love for the knowledge that our family can be together forever was especially strenghtened when we lost our 15 year old daughter in a car accident. This event changed our lives forever and gave me a greater sense of gratitude for the Savior and his Atoning Sacrifice.

How I live my faith

My joy in life is enhanced as I serve my family and members of the church and non-member friends. I have served in a number of responsibilies within the Church but feel my most important responsibilities will always be as a husband and father. I am grateful for the many opportunities the Church offers in organizing community and worldwide humanitarian aid in which I can participate.
