Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the church serving in the Florida Tallahassee Mission. I plan on going to college when I get home to be an aerospace enginneer. I enjoy learing about science and math and the way they work together. Also previous to my mission I really enjoyed making and editing films and am also thinking about pursuing something like that in college as well.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints has always been a part of my life. I was baptized into the church at the age of 8 years old and recieved the Aronic Priesthood at 12 and advanced in that office from deacon, to teacher to priest. I am currently an Elder and hold the Melckesidek Preisthood and will be serving a full time mission for the church in Tallahassee Florida starting November 2nd 2011. Although the Church has always been apart of my life I still had to figure out for myself that the church true and a religion I wanted to practice. I realized I could no longer just know the church was true because my parents knew it was or other members of my family. If I wanted to grow up and continue to live it I needed to have a testimony of my own. Through diligenty reading the scriptures, frequent prayer, and patience I eventually began to have a testimony of my own. It took time to even realize I had this testimony, there wasnt a "Ah ha!" moment, but a slow growing feeling over time that eventually was so strong i didnt know how I could ever or did ever doubt. As with anyone however there were times of doubt when my scripture study dwindled and my prayers became less sinceire. I never lost my testimony completely, I just forgot to nurture it for a season. The lord was always quick to humble me and bring me back to my knowledge of the true church, His chruch. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I try to improve each day and be the person the Lords knows I can be. I obviously am not perfect, however I find great joy in repenting and trying to make the corrections I need to in my life to make my Savior happy and to make myself happy. There is no greater joy that can come into a persons life than that which will come from using the sacrifice of Jesus Christ in your life daily.
