Hi I'm Megan Spendlove

I'm studying to be a pharmacist. I sell Mary Kay. I love horse racing. I can't say no to ice cream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a senior in college majoring in Zoology and have already finished my Spanish minor. I'm applying for pharmacy school this semester so hopefully I get in! My husband and I have been married for two wonderful years. He is studying to be a high school math teacher. We don't have any kids yet, but we have a cat named Oscar and he's enough for right now! As a Mary Kay consultant, I have the best job in the world! It's such a blast and a nice break from school when I get the chance.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church during my first semester of college. When I started dating my husband, he had returned from his mission a few months prior and talked about it all the time. I was curious to find out more, so I came here to mormon.org and requested a Book of Mormon. The missionaries called me to meet up and I loved the way I felt when I was there at the church with them and the other members. They were so welcoming and I felt so comfortable there. I felt the Spirit so strongly and knew that it was true. I have been a member for a almost 3 years now and I am so proud to be a member.

How I live my faith

Because I am Mormon, I don't drink coffee or alcohol, which most college students think is a big deal! I go to church every Sunday and am making an effort to not do homework on Sundays as well. At church, I help out in the nursery so parents of young children can go to their Sunday school classes without being distracted by their kids. I keep a Book of Mormon in my backpack so if I have a break between classes, I can do some scripture study.
