Hi I'm Nelsen

I was raised and live in Texas, I love sailing, 4-wheeling and skiing. I'm a car nut ... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Austin, Texas ... the oldest of 7 children. I learned to play the piano and violin (I inherited my Grandfather's Violin that he played as a teen in Germany). I played football, soccer and tennis as a teen. I sailed competitively in my late teens and 20's. I met my wife at the University of Texas. We now live in San Antonio where I co-own a car dealership. I have 4 daughters and 1 son. I still love to go to the lake to relax, but going to the Gulf Coast fishing with my Kid's is often our favorite adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised a mormon, I still had my struggles. After a few years of inactivity, I realized that the things that were really important to me had been taught to me as a child ... by my family and in church. It felt so good to return and become part of my "extended church family" where I've enjoyed the blessings of the gospel for 25+ years.

How I live my faith

I'm often asked, "How can you be a car dealer and a Mormon"? Well, I know of 4 other's in San Antonio and others in Texas. It's easy, when I meet someone who is looking for a car, I treat it as if I was finding the car for my own child. Sure, there are problems that come up, but they can be dealt with. Up front honesty makes it easy for me to sleep at night. It's similar to how I treat others away from work ... I try to consider that they really aren't much different from my parents, my siblings or my kids. I know that everyone I meet deserves my respect and love ... because I know that we are all brothers and sisters, we're all children of God.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

There is a lot of peace in knowing that, whatever problems we face, we will be together forever eternally. I't makes my marriage vows that much more important to me. Show more Show less
