Hi I'm Jason

I was born in Utah. I love the mountains, fishing and camping, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing sports. Football, baseball, and basketball are my 3 main sports that I like to watch and play. I played these 3 sports up until the end of my sophomore year in high school. I hurt my back weight lifting and resulted in back surgery. After the surgery I played only baseball. I have always had a love for the mountains, going fishing and camping. There's nothing better than spending time with your family in the mountains and out on the lake in your boat fishing with your siblings. Family is a huge part for me in my life. My family means everything to me. My family is where I have gained much learning in many aspects of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I owe my conversion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and my life, to my back injury. That was a turning point in my life. After the surgery I started reading in The Book of Mormon and praying to really know if it is true. I grew up in the church, but I still had to gain my own personal testimony. As I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it, I saw my life become so much better and I was so much happier. It helped me realize where my life was going before my injury, to which I thought was where I wanted to go in life, and where life was meant to go. I was wrong. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ I came to realize that nothing in life could bring greater happiness than living the Gospel. God gives us commandments to protect us, and they provide the way for us to return back to live with our Heavenly Father one day. I love the Gospel. I know that Joseph Smith saw God our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ and restored the church of God, all of the teachings of Jesus Christ, and the priesthood which gives us the blessing to perform necessary ordinances such as baptism, here upon the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith translated The Book of Mormon through the power of God, and it is true. Nothing has brought me greater peace of heart and mind than praying and reading and coming to know of the truthfulness if this Restored Gospel.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I preach and teach The Gospel of Jesus Christ every day for 2 years. I have devoted all of my time and attention to serving the Lord in this calling as a missionary. I invite others to come unto Christ, by helping them receive the Restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of The Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I live knowing that Jesus Christ has suffered for me and has felt the pain of my sins and sicknesses and weaknesses so that I can be clean from the guilt that sin creates, and from all manner of sickness and affliction, and so that my weaknesses can become and be strengths. That is what His Atonement is and does. I have experienced it personally in my life. It is real.
