Hi I'm Robin

I love taking pictures, I have a degree in English Education, I have six beautiful kids and a wonderful husband, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I started college in 1992 as a newlywed and finally finished 10 exhausting years later with both an education degree and three kids. Since then, I have had three more children. I use my degree every day in a way I did not anticipate in that I homeschool all my children. I love having my kids home with me! I love to be in the mountains hiking and enjoying fresh air, trees and nature. I have also come to love and appreciate the beautiful Sonoran Desert, where I live. I find great joy in the amazing sunsets of Arizona. I love to read, write, hike, camp, take pictures, quilt, and, on the rare occasions I am able, paint. One of my most favorite activities is going on dates with my husband. I have recently learned how to SCUBA dive and was able to dive outside of Catalina. My greatest joy in life is my precious family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, but, like all people who build faith in Jesus Christ, I needed a personal conversion to His gospel. As a Freshman in High School, I studied the New Testament in seminary. That was a pivotal year in my life. Studying the life of my Savior, Jesus Christ, in depth and detail helped me to gain a strong testimony of Him and His Gospel. I developed my own faith in and relationship with my Savior. I know the Church of Jesus Christ is His Gospel upon this earth. He knows us personally and will guide us, through ongoing personal revelation, along the path of our life. Through His Atoning sacrifice, we can continuously better ourselves, we can hope for a better world, and we can receive exaltation and eternal life. I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ is my life and my light, my joy and my salvation, and this is His Gospel upon this earth.

How I live my faith

In all I do, each and every day of my life, I live my Faith. Because I love my Savior, I try to be patient with my children. Because I love my Savior, I try to not take offense. Because I love my Savior, my life is filled with joy, peace and hope. Because I love my Savior, I can receive strength even when I am depressed or discouraged. I love my Savior because I know he loves me. At church, my responsibilities are to help with the children in their Sunday School. I enjoy teaching faith building aspects of the Gospel each Sabbath Day. The Gospel is so simplistic, yet so profound, and children can grasp that. They are so close to the Savior. I also am active in the Cub Scout program both through Church and through the community. I teach Cub Scout leaders throughout my area once a month at a district Roundtable Meeting.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Robin
What a wonderful message! Heavenly Father loves us so much that He has sent a messenger to this earth to guide God's people safely through the pitfalls of our day. God has always guided his children through a prophet. We have trials and challenges unique to our day and age which require specific instruction. Just as importantly, we need ongoing messages of hope and inspiration. I love to read the words of God through the prophets in the scriptures, but I am also grateful that God has given us, in our own day, a prophet to lead and guide us. Show more Show less
