Hi I'm Lerato Nkanyane

and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I would like to believe that I am a fun loving person filled with the excitement of life and endless possibilities. I enjoy reading and writing as a hobby. I believe that it's the best way to relief stress (lol). I love my family more than i love chocolate and trust me that's a big deal. I rather enjoy being around people because that's where the school of life is, with the people. Usually, I'm up for anything. I'm more than willing to try anything new as long as it does not require me lowering my standards whatsoever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be! Mormonism to me isn't about religion; it's a lifestyle. It is who I am and it is what I believe in.

How I live my faith

There's so much to see and learn in this world. So, i have decided to live by the counsel of our current day prophet, Thomas S. Monson. He was once quoted as having said: "relish in life and find joy in the journey." So, everyday i put on a smile and make a conscious decision to be happy. It costs me nothing!

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

The principal of tithing (which is 10% of your earnings) is an ancient one. It has been there since the beginning of time. The first man to ever pay tithing was Abraham to Melchizedek. Therefore, we as latter-day saints, pay it because it is a commandment from God. We do so to help move forward the work of the Lord and in return He promises to open up windows of heaven and pour upon us blessings. And who on earth doesn't want those!? Show more Show less
