Hi I'm Sam

I'm an Animator, a Dreamer, an Adventurer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised by an artist and a mathematician which gave me the understanding of the beauty of the world and the science that designs it. Growing up I didn't see things as others did and now being in my twenties I put that to use in my work as an animator. I see worlds, I dream, I think, and then I create my work. I have been blessed enough to do what I love for a living and it's my goal to share that blessing with many others. My faith and love for God drives my life. I would really like to own a family fun center where families can come and make memories together, find joy, and explore the mysteries of existence and life. I am the oldest of five children. My father is a small business owner and hard worker. His example to me has been so valuable as I have learned to work hard and be the type of son that would make my father proud. My mother is my best friend. She and I will push each other's buttons but we always figure things out, we can always talk about anything, and I am a grateful son who knows his mother will always be there for him. I had the privilege of serving a mission in Dallas, Texas. While serving I had some complications with my health and came home after only completing 6 months of service. I believe in a life long mission sharing the gospel. When life is hard I try to spend time taking photos of stars. This is where I find that I am able to be alone with The Lord, discovering mysteries of the heavens, and talking with Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but chose to make it a key role in my life because each aspect of the church has changed my life for the better. I am always blessed to have more than what I need, I learn a lot every week from my peers and leaders, and I am always learning more from the scriptures. The people, the scriptures, the lessons, the temple, and all else about this church brings me great joy. I am taken care of and cared about. I get to return those great joys to others as well. I know the church is true because I have lived the lifestyle, studied the doctrine, prayed about it, felt a strong answer that it's true, and have since acted on it. Acting on my faith has always yielded good and truth in my life.

How I live my faith

Life is full of big defining actions and small meaningful moments. I keep the sabbath day holy, I honor and use my priesthood to serve, I love others as best as I can, and serve where I notice it is needed. I am not perfect but I try every day to do a little better than the last. Whether I open the door for someone I do not know or I give a little money to someone who is hungry I feel it is my responsibility to act with love towards others. Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you. The golden rule is a key to having joy in life. Love one another as our savior has loved us. As I live these principles I find I have more joy, success, and friends in life than I ever had before.
