Hi I'm Hanyani Terrence Mthombeni

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father of two girls and boy and an Integrations-Software Developer.

Why I am a Mormon

How I got to be a Mormon, happened in 1992 when my Uncle passed away. In Our culture in Soweto People usually put up signs at the gate or on windows as a sign of a bereavement prompting reverence with those that pass by or those visiting. on the Thursday before the funeral two American missionaries passed by, prompted by the the signs on the windows oblivious to the tradition, they entered and asked the reason why were the windows smeared with Shoe polish. It was explained to them why, since then they took opportunity to share with my distraught Grandmother the plan of salvation and how she can be reunited with her Son if she lived in a way pleasing to God. suffice it to say 3 months the family was baptized into the church. The plan of salvation is still dear to my heart through it I know that Jesus Christ loves and wants the best for me regardless of present circumstances, through this I also came to know that Joseph Smith can write things that might be questioned but could not dictate what the holy-Spirit tells one's soul. of the authenticity of this work That's why I know he is God's instrument, points the way and the Holy ghost does the rest, I can boldly say He (Joseph Smith) was a Prophet of God, No one could write the book from his own intelligence Its the book of God. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I Promise my father things in the morning, commit my part and strive to do them during the day, then report back to him (even when I hit stumbling blocks) I serve as a home teacher and a high Councilor.I visit families in my geographical area presenting teachings from the prophets and try and assist with challenges they face. I also in return am home taught by brothers in my area, this helps me live my faith on a day to day basis. I together with my family strive to study the scriptures everyday thus receiving guidance and impelled to do good. The programs the church provides for families to learn about the gospel are numerous, but yet so simple even non latter-day saints in my area enjoy them, programs like Family home evening -where we take turns teaching one another principles of God this is set aside for Mondays. This is How I live my religion.
