Hi I'm Elizabeth.

I'm a music teacher. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and I love children so naturally I wanted to teach music to kids. I taught middle school orchestra for the last 4 years and loved it! Now I'm a stay at home mom with my infant son, and although it has its challenges I love it. I enjoy playing my cello for my son, working with youth at church, doing crafts, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. When I was a teenager, I felt the need to find out for myself if what I had been taught my whole life was true. I read the Book of Mormon and took Moroni's promise to heart. After praying to find out if the Book of Mormon was true, I had an unmistakable feeling of comfort and warmth and I knew the Lord was answering my prayer. That was many years ago and I know now more than ever that the Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture. I know the Lord loves us and because he loves us we have a living prophet to help guide us in these troubled times. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and I give thanks daily for the sacrifice He made so that I could repent and live with my Father in Heaven again one day. I am a Mormon because I cannot deny these truths.

How I live my faith

To me, being a Christian means doing things Christ would do. Christ taught of faith, charity, and forgiveness. I am far from perfect, but I try to live these principles in my daily life by serving those around me. In church, I have spent the last couple of years working with the youth. I love it! I believe the youth of today are key to solving tomorrow's problems, but that what the world teaches them through television and media is strongly misguided. Working with youth both at church and in my professional life gives me opportunities to teach of hard work, honesty, and virtue.
