Hi I'm Robin

I'm a Mormon. I am a born and raised Tempe, Arizonan.

About Me

The greatest blessing in my life is my sister who was born with Down Syndrome 14 months prior to me. Its just the two of us which has rewarded my life in so many ways. I am a Airzona State University graduate. While attending ASU I majored in Special Education. I currently spend my time coaching a variety of Special Olympic sports. Special Olympics softball is my faovirte sport to coach. I like to hike, play sports, shop for new outfits, and go to dance parties with my friends. I love almost every animal on the earth. I have to admit a snake and it's bite is not at the top of my list. One of my favorite foods to make is Mac N' cheese and hotdogs. I enjoy spending my time in the hot Arizona sun laying by the pool. Since Ive lived in Arizona my entire life, I am not a native to the snow. I have only made one snowman in my entire life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the church of Ladder Day Saints. I was baptized in January 2010 and since then my life has a greater purpose from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep. To be honest I was the girl that never would have ever guessed I would be a member of the church. A dear friend of mine introduced me to the LDS church by asking me to play on his church's softball season. I was terribly nervous to come out and play. From the first second I stepped out on that field, I was welcomed with open arms. My good friends to this day are some of those very same players that made an impact on my life. It was on that team where I started to feel differently about the church. I noticed the way they treated eachother and how much fun they had together. With time, discussion meetings, and prayer, I decided to learn more about the church. My big decision to join the church and become a member was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. Knowing that I was making a choice that my parents did not understand or agree with was heartbreaking. On the day of my baptism sitting front row center was my entire family. They all showed up to support me. My baptism was the happiest day of my life. I was beaming and could not stop smiling. When I look back at pictures from that day I can see and feel that I am loved and blessed by the Lord. Being a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints has lifted the weight of my sins l off of my shoulders. I cannot descibe in words how amazing it felt being forgiven for my sins from the Lord. Without hesitation I can say that I am a member of the LDS church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day and action by action. Since becoming a member, I have participated is organizing after church activites for people to get together and socialize. I enjoyed planning a lite menu after church on Sundays for my friends to socialize and snack on. Now I organize activties for the women in the church to form friendships and get together. Just recently we participated in a zumba class, dancing to loud music and burning calories. As women in the church we meet montly to visit with eachother. We are provided a few women to meet with. These visits help me stay close with people and know where I can help others. I live my faith each day with the understanding I am not perfect but I can strive to make an impact. I live my faith by reaching out to others and helping where ever I am needed. I live my faith by trying my best to live a Christ like life.
