Hi I'm Terri

I'm a "do it yourself" stay-at-home mother of 8. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up the oldest of nine children, so having a large family is second nature to me. My parents were great examples who instilled a hard work ethic and love of learning. I graduated from college in business and I continue to seize opportunities to gain knowledge and to enrich my life. My hobbies can be summarized as "do it yourself" projects. I also enjoy music, reading, and playing volleyball.

Why I am a Mormon

God wants us to be happy. My happiness is from living the teachings of Jesus Christ. I may have been raised in the church, but I have come to know for myself that this is His church. My testimony is my own and is a real treasure to me. From my own experience, I know that God hears and answers prayers. He answered mine and He will answer yours. I have read and studied the Old and New Testaments--such beautiful scripture! They truly testify of Jesus Christ. When Jesus asked Peter, "Whom say ye that I am?" My answer would be the same as Peter--"Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matt 16:15-19). He is the great "I Am". The Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ--it contains the same truths as the Bible and is also beautiful scripture. Just as there were prophets of old, God has a prophet today. Family is ordained of God and meant to be together forever. Of all the things I could be doing with my life, being a mother is one of the most important. As I'm faced with decisions and trials, I constantly see the Lord's hand in my life. The gospel is true! I know it in my heart and mind. Being a Mormon has given me the rock to build my foundation where I have found peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ and to use his example to guide my actions. I have enjoyed working with the youth in the past and currently teach the "young at heart", each month.
