Hi I'm Jarod Padilla

I work at Verizon Wireless, I love to spend time with family, I enjoy sports, I am an Eagle Scout and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 3 amazing kids. I love anything that involves spending time with my family. I enjoy camping, attending football, basketball, and baseball games. Our family enjoys shopping together and getting out of the house on our days off together. I enjoy taking my kids on special days with daddy. My family is my world.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in my savior Jesus Christ with all my heart. I firmly believe in the power of prayer, I know that He listens to us and I know that sometimes all it takes is for us to ask Him for help. I know that He wants us to be happy, if we keep ourselves humble and have a prayer in our heart always, there is no limit as to what He will do for us. I also have a strong testimony of the power of forgiveness. I, like many others, have not lived a perfect life, I have rejected many teachings of the Church that I learned and was advised in my youth, I chose not to follow the Prophets teachings, I chose to go my own path and all it led to was misery and sadness. "Misery never was happiness" I had an amazing spiritual experience with a General Authority, Neil A. Maxwell, that led me back to the path of our Heavenly Father. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He has forgiven me, that my sins have been washed away, and through my continued faith and devotion to Him, I can be with my family forever. I know through my experiences that He loves me and watches over me, without Him I would not be where I am today. I would be at a much darker place in life.

How I live my faith

I am a Sunday school teacher for the youth, I teach the 16-18 year old class in my ward. I love it. If I can help just one person make better choices from the bad choices that I have made in my life, I feel that I have excelled in my calling. I love the youth of the Church, they have it much tougher than I did while growing up. Satan's influence is much stronger today than even 10 years ago. I very much enjoy my hometeaching companion and enjoy when we see our families. I feel much better while participating in some way with my ward family. Our ward is great, I feel so much love when I go to church.
