Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I grew up in Missouri. I attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and I'm studying Human Development. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student who loves learning. I love to sew, shop and cook. I was recently married to my wonderful husband in the San Diego LDS temple. I enjoy learning about other languages, and my passion is French. My husband and I enjoy going to movies together, playing tennis, shopping, and just about anything that involves the two of us. I love life and the blessing it gives me to experience new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but it wasn't until I was 13 that I actively committed to be a member of the church. I gained an assurance of the Lord's love in my life when I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was the word of God. I felt the love of my Savior for me and the reality that the Book of Mormon was indeed a true, correct book, given from God for my growth and learning. I continue to follow the principles of the gospel taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the joy I feel and the blessings I receive from keeping the commandments of God. No matter what life throws my way, I am able to find joy in my journey because of the eternal perspective that the gospel offers me. I know that there is a God, our Heavenly Father, who loves each of us with a perfect, unconditional love. I know Jesus Christ suffered and died for me that I might repent and be able to return to Heaven again. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book written by real people for the benefit of the world today. I know that anyone who wishes to know if this book is true can receive an answer of its truthfulness, just as I did when I was 13. I love my Savoir, and I know he loves you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to serve and love those around me. In my local church, my husband and I teach a section of the church meeting about the importance of eternal marriages and families. I also visit women in my congregation each month, bringing friendship and a spiritual message to lift and enliven their lives.
