Hi I'm Elder Coleman Anderton 鄧勇夫長老

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Washington State and am currently serving a mission for the people of Taiwan, Taipei!

About Me

I'm a Mormon. I love the gospel, I have learned that by living the principles taught in the scriptures, we can all be happier and better prepared for the situations of the world. During High School I was lucky enough to participate in a world renowned choral group called, "Miestersingers". This is on of my favorite memories as we were able to share the gift of music with so many people and bring them joy and happiness through wholesome lyrics and smiling faces. During my first three years of high school I played a lot of basketball. I planned on playing basketball in college. But I received a prompting in the beginning of my senior year to not play. I was confused and desired to understand where this crazy thought had come from. I spent a long time praying and wondering whether this was inspiration from my Heavenly Father. The day came that I decided to test the seed of faith that I had and choose to quit basketball for a time, as we are taught in Alma 32. During my decision making process I read quite a lot in the scriptures and came to a verse that said, "And now, it came to pass that Alma, who had fled from the servants of king Noah, repented of his sins and iniquities, and went about privately among the people, and began to teach the words of Abinadi-." As soon as I read this I knew I had to flee from King Noah's basketball court in my case. I cannot tell you how happy this decision has made me. I joined theater and spread the gospel to all of my classmates and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

On August 16 1995 I was born into my Parents home. My parents were faithful members of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and still are. I am a Mormon because of the amazing evidence of the Lords hand in the lives of billions of people all over the world. The Mormon church is extremely organized and has helped me (my parents) mold the person who I am today. I am an Eagle Scout and have learned through my service in the Church to be of good integrity and to put my best foot forward and work hard.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through studying the scriptures daily. I am now a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am required to live my life in a way that others may receive a witness that Christ is the Son of God and that he really did live and minister unto the people in the time of his work on earth and continues to minister to all those who will believe on his name. I am graduated from my High School but I have lived my life in a way that all who knew me, knew what I stand for. My little sister lives the gospel and is a solid reminder as well of my devotion. She is devoted to the gospel.
