Hi I'm Ashley

I make pop-ups. I love K-Pop. I learn and laugh everyday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love making pop-ups. I love design. I'm a professional seamstress and amateur architect. I really big into the K-pop scene, with my favorite band being SHINee and favorite drama being "You're Beautiful." I love dancing - hip-hop is my dance style preference. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS degree and plan on getting my doctorate. You see, I want to be a professor someday. I love learning and I watch documentaries for pleasure. Some of my favorite movies are "How To Train Your Dragon," "Temple Grandin," and "Les Choristes." But I was raised on black-and-white movies from the 1930s and 1940s and regularly need me some Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Gregory Peck, and Clarke Gable. I adore my family - Mom, Dad, seven brothers and sisters, two bro-in-laws, and three nephews and my niece. I laugh everyday. I love life. And I want a horse someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was seven years old. Although I was born into a Mormon family, I needed to know that baptism was the right thing for me to do. I needed to know the restored gospel was true, so I read the Book of Mormon. After finishing the book, I knelt down and asked our Heavenly Father if the book was true. I received an overwhelming warmth and power answering that the book was true, so at eight years old I was baptized. That experience at age seven is still the most powerful prayer answer I have ever received, and I reflect on it often. I've doubted many things in my life, but the only thing I have NEVER doubted is the truthfulness of that book. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I knew it when I was seven. I know it still, and this testimony grounds me in my knowledge of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father is our divine, actual Father! I know that Jesus Christ is his son, our Saviour, and that he lives! I know the Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored Christ's church upon the earth in these latter days. I know that a prophet leads and guides the church today, and that he is God's mouthpiece. And I love these truths!

How I live my faith

I just do the basics: pray every morning/night (and throughout the day usually), go to church every Sunday, and read the scriptures everyday. Doing those things keeps me prepared for any other service and/or sharing opportunities that come my way.
