Hi I'm Jera

I am an Acupuncturist. I am a Mormon -

About Me

I am from a family of 6 children, I am the youngest and the only girl. Life is rough :-) I love the outdoors. I love camping, hiking, swimming and being in ‘nature’. I think that health and wellness are very important and I love learning about the body. I hold a Masters Degree in Oriental medicine, and I love being a part of helping the body heal. I opened a restaurant recently. It’s a lot of hard work and very long hours, but definitely worth it! There is nothing more important to me than meaningful relationships and tying to be a better person each day.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to church and being a member of the Mormon faith, but there came a time when I definitely did not subscribe to any Mormon doctrine. I felt it was oppressive and just did not know if I believed in God, Christ - or any kind of organized religion to say the least. For many years I pursued an independent study of spiritual nature. This included Buddhism, Taoism, and various Christian philosophies. Through my journey I found that there is much truth to learn in most philosophies and that most religions are more similar than different. Through that journey, in time, gained a deep understanding of the Mormon doctrine of uniting families and the importance of becoming cleaner spiritually each week. I learned about the divinity of Jesus Christ and gained an understanding of my utter dependency on his grace and Atonement. I am a Mormon because I have prayed fervently to our Father in Heaven for guidance to know what I should do, and I have received multiple spiritual confirmations of the truth found in the principals of the church.

How I live my faith

I want to be like Christ. I try to be a kind, compassionate person. I want to unify instead of segregate. I want to include others, I want to love and celebrate their unique gifts talents and abilities. I try to live this everyday. I live my faith through being as Christ-like as I can be. I try to help other when I see a need. I try to cheer someone who is sad, or be with someone who needs a friend. I live my faith by being a genuine caring person.
