Hi I'm Geanna

I was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a mother of six. I love being a mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary soon as we drive our oldest daughter to college. We have 5 girls and 1 boy. I love making bread, making cards, playing games, and taking long naps. I love watching my kids play sports, perform in concerts and supporting them in whatever they are involved in. One of my favorite things to do is volunteer at school in my children's classrooms. I love meeting the kids in their classes and being involved in their education. I have been very blessed to be a stay at home mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I came from a big family. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. One of the biggest reasons I love being a Mormon is that it has helped me so much in raising children. The gospel is such a blessing in so many ways. We teach our kids the gospel and try to live it everyday the best we can, but they need more. They are taught and loved each week by other adults who have testimonies of the gospel. My younger children have Primary, Scouts and Activity Days. My high schoolers are blessed to have the seminary program and the Young Men/Young Women Program. The girls also get to go to Girl's Camp in the summer. The youth also have For the Strength of Youth, which is a pamphlet of standards and morals for youth and adults to live by. It give my daughters direction in a time in the world where there is so much confusion among youth. I love that as a Latter-Day Saint, I am blessed to hear a prophet and other apostles through conference twice a year and the Ensign every month. I love that I can travel and still attend church and be able to feel the same spirit anywhere in the world. I also think it is a wonderful opportunity to have callings and learn new things and grow and accomplish things through the help of the Savior. I love the Book of Mormon and the promises given when I read it. I know that it is true. I know that families can live eternally. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that he is the son of God. I know that I can have the Holy Ghost to guide me in my life everyday as long as I am living worthy. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet, and he is leading and guiding the churc today. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying everyday to be Christ-like. I attend church and especially make it a point to have my family in Sacrament Meeting to partake of the Sacrament each week. I currently serve the women in the church. I try to fulfill my calling to the best of my ability. I seek help from Heavenly Father as I teach and serve. I love the visiting teaching program. I love meeting new women and visiting and serving those who I am assigned to. I try to make the gospel a priority in my life. I try to be an example to those in the community

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes. We are Christians. I have had several of my friends ask this question. A Christian is someone who believes in Christ. I believe in Jesus Christ. He is the center of our church and our lives. As members of the church we strive to become like Jesus Christ. I hope that as others are in my home and around our family, that is the first thing they notice is that we are Christians.
