Hi I'm Laura

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to a wonderful husband and mama to three very busy and handsome boys and two lovely step-daughters. With young children, life is CRAZY but the joy that comes from seeing them develop and grow physically and spiritually is incredible. I feel so blessed and honored to be a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess I cheated my way into becoming a Mormon...I was just born that way! :) Phew! So glad for that because I don't think it would have happened any other way. Luckily, I have always loved truth. I recognize it and it resonates within me. After all these years now as a member of the church, I have grown in my knowledge and testimony of what I know to be true. And that has made all the difference! I find joy in teaching my children the same principles I had the privilege of growing up with- especially now that we live in a world where confusion is everywhere. I know and have learned that as I continue to follow the counsel of the Savior and His living prophet, I will be safe and on the path of true happiness. There is no greater comfort! Being a Mormon has DEFINITELY blessed and continues to bless my life and my family's life and allows me to grow in my knowledge of and love for the Savior. And that's why I am a Mormon :)

How I live my faith

My faith grows each day I choose to live the teachings of the Savior and serve others. I love the Savior and have a tremendous amount of gratitude for all that he has lovingly given me and done for me. This knowledge makes me anxious to love and bless those around me. I know the Savior loves me, knows me, and cares for me as he does ALL his children.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Laura
LDS temples are sacred NOT secret. In fact I know that the Savior would have it that all of us could enter them. Once a temple is dedicated, it is open to those members who have qualified themselves to receive its blessings. Inside we perform sacred work for us first, and then for those who have gone before us in subsequent visits. The Lord's work is about the individual and so, it is individually done. Many times, people confuse temples with our church buildings, but they are different! Show more Show less
