Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Idaho. My dad was in the Army so after he returned from Vietnam, our family moved to Colorado, then Alabama, then Georgia. We returned to Idaho when I was about 4 years old. I have lived here since. I have been married for 25 years. Dennis & I have 2 daughters who are both adopted. Jessica is now 22 and the mom of 2 kids - Jayden and Garrett. Brooklyn is 10 and is involved in dance and tumbling. I am the Chief Financial Officer for Southern Idaho Solid Waste. I have worked there for over 18 years. I really enjoy my job and the people I work with. I am currently the Primary Secretary for our Ward. I love being in the Primary. I enjoy watching the children grow (both physically and spiritually). They teach me so much.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad converted to the church after marrying my mom, so I have been raised in the church. My parents divorced when I was 15 years old. At that time, I stopped going to church. When I was almost 30 years old, Jessica (who was 9 at the time) asked me something about Jesus. It was a question that I always knew the answer to when I was growing up. It upset me that she didn't understand who Jesus and Heavenly Father were and that she had never gone to church before. Jessica started taking the missionary lessons and was baptized in December of 1998. Since that time I have served in the Primary for 10 years (2 different callings as First Counselor in the Primary Presidency; 4 years teaching and my current calling as Primary Secretary).

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to my kids, co-workers and others around me.
