Hi I'm Lana (Banana)

I'm a Mormon. I love the youth of the church. Like to spend time outdoors with my horses, dogs and cats. Being mom of 4 is great!

About Me

I am a mother of 4 children; 3 boys and a girl. We love to spend time together doing things like boating, swimming, camping, vacationing, snowmobiling, and taking Sunday walks around our neighborhood. I have a passion for horses and their reverent nature. I feel my Heavenly Father near when I am able to communicate with such beautiful and large creatures, however I also have a mini who is only 34 inches tall. Or short, if you're looking at him from a horses point of view. I find a connection with animals, including our two dogs and 3 cats, ok not so much the cats. Although they are cute to greet me everyday when I go outside. I love summer and fall the most, because I love to spend time in the water and in the sun. Vitamin D is GOOD! I am married in the temple in Logan, Utah to my husband of 26 years. We have a swimming pool business that we operate in Idaho, yea I know, go figure. Idaho of all places, right? I am active in our children's life, so between dance, baseball, horses, recreational activities, supporting my children in their various plays, school activities, sports, etc. I stay very very busy! I am a farm girl at heart and love the country way of living. I love life and knowledge of where I have come from.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church and don't know what I would have done without it in my life. I grew up in a small town where there were not very many youth in our ward and some of them were not the best influence, so it was a challenge to remain strong with my religious friends not always the best example. I am so grateful for the blessing of being born under the covenant of my parents' temple marriage. As I look back now, my activity in the church and having the gospel in my life was a tremendous blessing and a gift. I am so grateful for the principles talk to me by my loving parents.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by example and through others' examples. Other people strengthen me and help my testimony to grow. I love the concept of serving others. I take my miniature horse to a local veteran's home to bring joy to their faces and the feeling of compassion I feel after I have visited there is impactful. I serve in the youth organization where I am involved in their weekly Sunday instruction of the gospel and participate in weekly activities. We like to do service of various different things and when we choose to serve people, it is the most memorable of all activities that we do as a youth group. People are most important when it comes to teaching the gospel and building good relationships with others is most valuable in my life. I was in Wal-mart just the other day, and after I had checked out and got out to my car, I had realized that I had missed a $1.68 item that I didn't pay for. So, after loading my groceries into my car, I walked back into Wal-mart and went through the self-checkout line and paid for my small purchase. It wasn't important for me to let them know that I brought it back in to purchase, it was important to pay for it. Because I want to be honest in ALL my dealings with my fellow man. I know that I am blessed when I TRY, (I'm not perfect) to live all of God's laws and live my faith in every way I possibly and in every aspect of my life.
