Hi I'm Chandler

I'm a son, I'm a brother, I'm a Varsity Volleyball Player, I love to sing, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm years old 21 years old, im from Gilbert, Arizona. I'm the only boy with 4 sisters in my family. I love to camp, I love to sing, I love to play volleyball!! I am currently serving a mission in Turkey! So I speak Turkish as well!

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was raised in this church, my parents and their parents were baptized members, so when I came around the age of 8 years old I chose to be baptized. I went through phases like every teenager does, questioning why I'm here, what am I supposed to do here, or what happens after I die. All of these questions hit me like a semi truck the day one of my really good friends passed away from cancer at age 17. Stuck. And confused. I knelt in prayer to ask God what this is all about. (This being life). And a calm feeling of peace came into my heart. Kind of like, I don't know when you go camping and your far enough from the city that you can't see the lights and it's just you, the stars in the sky, and the trees in the forest. You know that peace. Through that feeling of peace I knew my Father in heaven loved me. It's kind of hard to put into words my experience, but just know that I'm Mormon because of experiences and words in the scriptures that have impacted my life so much that I've literally changed my nature, and who I am, what I want to be in life from wanting money, nice cars, expensive things, to a family, a relationship with my Father in heaven, knowledge of the scriptures. And because If God worked that hard to help me and my life, I know that He loves all of His children, and that testifies to me that He loves and cares for everyone. No matter what thing they did or what sin they committed. Everyone can come closer to God because that's what he wants for all His children.

How I live my faith

Well right now it's very easy to live my religion. I am consistently finding people who are looking for questions in life, of which I have found answers. As I work with people, as I pray for people and give all I can to the service of God and His children, I forget myself, I turn towards others, I learn to love random strangers as my brother or sister. Because the first and greatest commandment is to love my God with all my heart mind and might, and what better way to show my love to God than to serve and learn to love and serve His children?
