Hi I'm Kristin

I am a mother, a housewife, a cook, a maid, a chauffeur, a referee, a nurse. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom with two very active children. While my son is in school my daughter and I go to the library, exercise, do housework, make cookies, and have lots of girl time. When I get time to myself I love to keep up on blogs, read books, Skype with family, watch TV (I am a reality show junkie), and chat with friends on Facebook.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, so it's always been a part of who I am. When I moved away from home during college I really began to appreciate the gospel, particularly the Atonement. I went through a rough couple of years, during which time I was depressed, apathetic, and frustrated with my life. Because of the gospel and some wonderful people who were brought into my life I was able to turn things around. I still struggle, but I know that prayer, scripture study, attending the temple, and living the gospel daily can help me stay close to the Lord and be the type of person I need to be. I know the Book of Mormon is true, I know that we have a living prophet, and that God loves me.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with the gift of music. I love to sing and play the piano, which are things that I am able to share at church, both through the choir and through my callings. I am also able to share my testimony once a month when I teach the women in our ward. I enjoy being a visiting teacher because it gives me an opportunity to get to know women that I might not have otherwise met, and to hear their opinions and testimonies about the gospel. Being a mom gives me the chance to use every day experiences to share the gospel with my children. My husband and I involve them in family home evening, scripture reading, and family prayers.
